I posted Tuesday just before heading back upstairs with the intention of finishing the clean/reorganization of the studio that I’d started the day before. I hadn’t planned to do anything of the sort with my time last week, my plan was to actually start filming a new class and have it ready to launch next week, but then I needed to at least clean up the worktable where I film and then one thing led to the next and I spent the entire day at it.
Tuesday I only meant to tidy up the other room of my upstairs studio space since it was painfully obvious how much it needed in comparison. But then I fell down that rabbit hole and spent Tuesday and Wednesday rearranging furniture and bins to give myself better productivity flow. I snapped a bunch of pics in the midst of that insanity but somehow deleted them. Here’s the one surviving image from about halfway through.
Not sure it truly reflects the extent of the undertaking, but by Wednesday evening it was back in order enough to convince myself that it was enough (see first image above).
Thursday I spent the entire day in what felt like fruitless motion. Spinning my wheels trying to map out a plan for the filming. I plan to write more on that subject this week. We shall see.
Friday I finally managed to start filming and as typically happens, I am now wildly excited about it. I want to dive down into the production mode of the techniques I’m sharing but Saturday I had a commitment to go to The Other Art Fair in Chicago with a friend. Much needed break to view art.
Today I’m heading back to the city, giving myself permission to step out of my comfort zone, which has become quite comfortable and somewhat isolated in the time since the pandemic.
Tomorrow is back to the filming and hopefully more to report on when and what this course will be all about soon.
