Two years since writing, this poem feels even more relevant today--Some days it is hard not to lose hopehope that this country will find its wayback from the great dividehope that civility will be restoredhope that a cure will ever be foundfor COVID or systems built on white supremacy –the virus called racismhope that truth will hold as effectivelyas a politics lieshope that justice will ever be servedhope that equality will finally be won
So very poignant - and without faith there is no hope or love . . .
Beautiful and sad and hopeful.
