You are absolutely right about the life long journey. And how lucky are we to have art to help us along the way. Thanks Lisa!

"What will people think of me" is something I struggle with! In fact, I think it's this very thing that has kept me from coming back to art sooner. What will people think of me if I try and make art now? That I'm washed up? That I should've just stayed away? That I have nothing to offer? Well, hell to the no!

I say I am a writer and an artist. And that this truth remains no matter how my heart feels, no matter if I'm prolific or in hibernation, no matter what. I am and will always be.

Thank you for giving me this safe space to declare that out loud!

Each time I have the privilege of teaching, this topic comes up. I think as creative beings, we are especially prone to it. I am so glad to witness you staking your claim over who you are today!

So much love to you!

Aloha dear crystal, have quitely followed you for many years, just wanted to say how much I appreciated your comment today about what a shame it is for those of us who thought we could only show society the “perfect “ version of ourselves, not who we really are, my hope is that we all can be ourselves, love ourselves so thanks for saying it out loud !
