Hi Crystal, my word is weaving. I don't know if it is the right word, I have to see how it goes, if it brings me anything. It's not that I want to do the traditional weaving but I found that weaving is a verb that corresponds to the word connecting. A quite famine activity indeed, nevertheless I found out it's also referring to my art and actual life. It appears to be a key in our language. So the word itself is interesting enough, I take the freedom to see what it does for me : to have this word WEAVING for 2024. Hope you have a good time and thanks for the writing!
Innovate is such a wonderful encompassing word. May your time in the studio bring you many exciting innovative experiences Marilyn. Thanks so much for sharing your word Marilyn!
A ‘word’ had chosen me. “Radical self-care” is my word and so far 2024 has been a challenge to my health, both physical and mental. Coming off a severe bout of jet lag has me taking some strong steps towards self-care recently, and I know this mindset needs to follow me into the new year and beyond. If I don’t take care of myself, what’s the use of any busyness or productivity I point to? I read a quote somewhere, “take time to care for your wellness or take time to care for your illness” and that has really resonated with me. So here I go. ♥️
That quote packs a big truth punch. Radical Self-Care, not just Self-Care, but Radical, makes me think it will included doing what you need to do for that self-care regardless of whether anyone else understands your reasoning. For me, the busyness can also be a way to disconnect from listening to my intuitive voice that is trying to point me in another direction. It is radical indeed, to slow down and listen to it sometimes. Thanks for sharing your word Jan!
Other years I have been impatient and chose a word. It never stuck. This year I decided if I word didn’t chose me I would not bother. One day while journaling I got the word connect. It has appeared over and over this month. Also I have had some really profound connections with
I absolutely love the confirmation that comes when you begin to see the word pop up repeatedly after you sense what it is. And then to have those profound experiences happen on top of it is electrifying. Thanks for sharing your word Debi.

My word for this year is - INNOVATe . What I have to change is to actually spend some time in my studio instead of in my yard.

Total strangers. I think waiting was the key.
