My word for the year came spontaneously about 2 weeks ago when I told a work affiliate that my word would be "structure". We work for men who are very laxed and have ideals, but don't work out the details... no plans laid out. I'm tired of figuring things out...analogous to solving problems and putting fires out.

Sounds like a year with change is ahead for many of us. The need for structure in your workplace is very much a quality of life issue. Thanks for sharing your word and the way it came to you. My words tend to come in a similar way, the word comes out of my mouth and suddenly there is that deep knowing,

I used to do resolutions. But they fail by the end of January. Last year I picked a word, and now I don't remember what it was. Your blog seems like an answer. This year I will choose a word and write on it daily. Thank you for the push!

I often forget my word or resolutions midway through the year or sooner as well, until something happens that makes me remember. Sending you a virtual round of applause for the determined commitment you've made for the journaling practice.
